Year End
As we're coming to the end of the year, I wanted to take a look back at the memories, and a look forward into what's in store for the Armoury Line from here.
Looking back
Armoury Line opened its station in October this year, not long after I started playing FaB. I wanted Armoury Line to be a place to read about FaB in London. I hope that, writing from my point of view, many people will find a relatabe experience aboard the Armoury Line. I'm quite pleased with what Armoury Line has managed so far in the short couple of months its been open, let's take a quick look!
The next stop is ...
This series is a showcase of the Local Game Stores in the London area. It was meant to inform players new to the London scene, or those in London who want to get into the game, where they could find people playing FaB. Even though there's only five or so stores, it's actually amazing that this many stores are supporting a new game like Flesh and Blood, just in London.
I did manage to travel to all of them at some point, and have written about Rule Zero, Geek Retreat Camberwell (now closed) and Geek Retreat Holloway. I also shared my experience participating in their Armoury events. If you have enjoyed this series, look forward to the rest of it with Bad Moon Cafe and Dark Sphere still to come! And, who knows, new stores supporting FaB may pop up in 2022 near you! You can bet I will make the trip up and say hello.
Skirmish
There were 2 Skirmish events in London last season, the one at Rule Zero and the one at Dark Sphere. Even though I only participated in the Rule Zero one, it was probably the most valuable FaB event I participated in this year, as I learnt a substantial amount about the game, and especially about heroes I've not had a chance to face before. It was an extremely fun day, and I recommend the event to all levels of players!
Looking Forward
Even though I only started near the end of the year, I had an amazing time playing FaB in 2021. And, we're only getting started. 2022 is going to be quite the year for the Armoury Line. I hope to continue The next stop is ... with new stores supporting FaB. I also plan to, as the rare exception, write about events outside of London, as I will be participating in the Kingdom Gaming Invitational and Pro Quest in Canterbury! I also hope to be able to showcase more of the London community of FaB players, as they truly are an amazing bunch.
I sincerely wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I hope to see you all back on board the Armoury Line soon.
