Sultania is a Discord bot whose aim is to be the most feature-rich bot for all your FaBTCG needs.

Features

The Story

Sultania was named after a cornerstone Flesh and Blood player in London, Arian Sultani (Sultani A.).

During the RTN season of 2022, and before Sultania existed, Arian was doing inspiring work for the London crew by keeping track of our 90-day XP ranking in order to qualify for Nationals. This came in the form of a spreadsheet which Arian would update regularly.

Wanting to help Arian automate the task, I created Sultania!

Many of Sultania's commands are inside jokes, but I'm sure you'll get use to them quickly.

Fetching Flesh and Blood cards

Fetching a card

To quickly get information on FaB cards, you can enclose them in double square brackets, like so: [[Channel Mount Heroic]].
You can also enclose using {{Channel Mount Heroic}} to avoid clash with scryfall if you have both bots.

Searching is case-insensitive and you can also try partial-matching a card. Partial-matching will try its best to get the right card, it works better if the search word is unique to the card you're looking for.

I know there are other bots out there, such as fabdb and fabrary's official bots being some of the more popular ones. However, I believe Sultania's card fetching to be more intuitive to use and more feature-rich. Most other bots use slash commands to fetch a card.

Sultania allows you to weave the command into a sentence naturally, much like Scryfall for MTG, which I find more intuitive than typing out the command on a separate message after already having mentioned the card in a previous conversation. It also replies to the message which mentioned the card, which is helpful if multiple people need to use the bot at the same time.

Fetching a card by pitch value

Whatmore, you can specify the version of the card you want by adding (r), (y), (b) as a suffix. This helps when the power or card text is different based on the pitch value.

Sultania's output message is also a bit nicer than other bots, in my opinion. The embed message will have the same colour strip as the pitch value of the card. It also has a summary of the card's pitch, cost, defence and power in emoji form for quick reference. The image is also just a thumbnail, which makes the message itself smaller.

For EU folks, Sultania also niftily fetches the MKM price trend for the card.

The card-fetch feature is sourcing from a library made by the same person behind fabrary. This feature is free and will remain free for the lifetime of Sultania.

This was the feature set that spawned Sultania. Our playgroup wanted to quickly grab our rankings to know where we are on the leaderboard, as some of us had a shot of qualifying through XP. You only need to specify your name and country code.
