Sultania RTN features (/xp is back!)
Sultania's origin has been rediscovered with the latest RTN features!
Oh, and /xp
is back for you to see what your 90-day XP rank is. It would only work for those who are on the leaderboard though.
How does it work?
Start by enabling RTN qualifier announcements with /rtn-on
. Please start typing with #
to auto-complete the channel name.

Options: country - you can have announcements for more than one country. For this command, you do either need to specify a country or have one set by default for the server.
/country
, all Sultania interaction will use default country. e.g. The UK FaB Discord would set default country to GB, all RTN features will then use GB.After an RTN event, use /rtn-report
for the top 4 players, as they have qualified for Nationals!

Must: name - the name provided must also match the player name in GEM, otherwise the system won't work correctly.
Options: country - you can specify which country they qualified for, if in multi-national servers
At any time, check what XP rank you need to achieve to qualify for Nationals with /rtn-slugma
!

Options: country - You can specify the country you want to see the XP threshold for
What's all this XP threshold stuff?
For countries whose National Championship is invitation-only. LSS stated in the previous year
Invitation-only events will be limited to players who have qualified through Road to Nationals, players who receive an invite via 90-day XP, or any player who has redeems a PTI. XP-based invitations will be issued based on standings as of Monday July 25th at 11:59pm PDT, directly following the end of the Road to Nationals season.
Please note the cut-off date for qualifying through 90-day XP in 2023 has been announced to be Tuesday June 13th at 11:59pm PDT. For more information about Nationals and RTN season, you can check out LSS article here.
How do I know if I'll get an XP-based invitation?
Each invitation-only National Championship event has a cap on the number of players. The top 4 of each RTN event will qualify for Nationals. As an example, if an event is 96 players, and there's 20 events, the 80 people will qualify through RTN, and 16 qualifiers will be XP-based (assuming no PTI is cashed in).
But, this doesn't mean that there is a definite "threshold" rank on the leaderboard from the get-go where anyone above will qualify. In the example above, if you are ranked below 16 on the 90-day XP leaderboard, it doesn't mean you definitely won't get an invite.
This is because; if someone who qualifies through RTN is also high on the XP leaderboard, they don't double qualify. So, the XP rank "threshold" actually gets pushed down to fill the event. In our example scenario, if all players ranking 16 and above qualified through RTN, then actually, anyone ranking 32 and above would get a chance of qualify through XP, if they didn't already qualify through RTN. Meaning the threshold could go even lower depending on who qualified through RTN.
Inversely, if someone qualifies through RTN and is really low on the leaderboard, this threshold goes up.
How do I work out what the XP threshold is? Don't I have to track each RTN event and leaderboard placement? That's a lot of work...
And that is exactly what Sultania is here to help with!
In 2022, the UK FaB community put in a lot of effort reporting the qualifiers through Discord, with @Seb recording it in a spreadsheet and working out the threshold each week. I found it wholesome and amazing that a community of people can pull together to do something like that.
With this feature set, Sultania can take it further by automating all the work, giving Seb time to grind those RTNs instead, and giving everyone a tool to easily visualise the RTN season.
If your community would like to easily keep track of your National qualifiers through RTN events, and work out the new 90-day XP threshold to qualify with ease, add Sultania to your server today! This should work for all countries.
